Rubi started her career as a primary teacher, and has worked in both state and private schools in both England and the UAE with a range of curriculums, across age phases and roles. Her work has included an education reform project, coaching and mentoring school leaders and teachers with the Centre for British Teachers (CFBT), and a professional development project with Nord Anglia as a curriculum and training specialist lead. At present she is working with the Abu Dhabi Edication Council as part of the private schools sector in the school development division. Rubi is interested in Special Education Needs (SEN), leadership in schools, continuous professional development (CPD) and using technology in schools.

Rubi is currently undertaking a Doctorate in Education at the University of Derby in England in effective teacher professional development

HappyPlant Challenge: A series of steamy events

In a quest to #FutureProof his learners, learn how the Head of Technology Integration from Dubai British School participated in a game-changing STEAM+ project with Kalebr and the KHDA, Dubai.

In this happiness and sustainability project, young learners competed by making, coding and innovating artificially intelligent plants and their ecosystems. Nearly 10,000 visitors from over 70 countries explored happiness together in Dubai with the help of these #HappyPlants.
