Dr. Keijo Sipilä works as a chief digital officer in education department of the city of Kaarina, Finland. He received his PhD degree from the University of Lapland in 2013. Educational technology, its use and effects on teaching and learning processes have for a long time been in his professional and scholar interest; his thesis concentrated on teachers' and students' perspective about the use of ICT in education.

Dr. Sipilä is currently leading the largest 1:1 iPad implementation process in Finnish basic education and is also continuing his career as educational technology researcher.

HappyPlant Challenge: A series of steamy events

In a quest to #FutureProof his learners, learn how the Head of Technology Integration from Dubai British School participated in a game-changing STEAM+ project with Kalebr and the KHDA, Dubai.

In this happiness and sustainability project, young learners competed by making, coding and innovating artificially intelligent plants and their ecosystems. Nearly 10,000 visitors from over 70 countries explored happiness together in Dubai with the help of these #HappyPlants.
